City Lumber is proud to be the leading supplier to the Alberta’s Oil Sands projects. Robert was one of a small select group of business leaders who recognized the potential and importance of the oil sands in Fort McMurray. He joined with leaders like Anne McLellan (then Minister of Energy for the Government of Canada) and Eric Newell (Former Chair and CEO of Syncrude in the 1990s) to aggressively pursue the development potential of the oil sands, which today is an important economic engine of both Alberta and Canada.
