Giving back is engrained in City Lumber.

Zita and John Rosen instilled the power of partnerships into the City Lumber corporate culture long ago—and we honour their memory by living it in all that we do.

We can all build the dream of a more compassionate society by giving back to the communities that have helped us prosper. Organizations supporting children of all cultures and backgrounds, the arts, women’s health and education are all causes that City Lumber invests in and believes are at the heart of a community that values and respects all people. It is our distinct privilege to support them and watch them thrive.

We are honoured to support the Boys and Girls Club of Edmonton, the Royal Alexandria Hospital, the University of Alberta and MacEwan University, the Citadel Theatre, the Winspear Centre and Fort Edmonton Park, among other worthy organizations.

The fresh baked cookies that we leave with our customers, vendors and organizations are our calling card – a small symbol of our spirit of community values and an expression of our willingness to share our success with those around us. We believe that there is no more powerful way to begin and sustain a relationship than to break bread with each other – our cookies are a way to do that every day.
